Great and heart-wrenching story of two young rural Chinese girls making their fortune in the big city. I really enjoyed the relationship between the two girls. This book also made me think about the impact of my own choices on people around the world. At times the story felt a bit too heavy handed in its political message, but mostly it was a powerful story revealing a world I am nearly completely unfamiliar with.
The ultimate guide to the fundamentals of weight training. If you want to be stronger, this book is an absolute must. Mark Rippetoe does a very good job of mixing physiology and exercise science - how the body works - with practical information - how to get results in the gym. For each exercise, he discusses common mistakes and how to fix them. In discussing bad form, he is also very clear on what is truly dangerous and what is only inefficient, which I was very grateful for. Recommended 100%.
Well, I read it, and I don't really know what to make of it. I feel like he is saying some really important things that are just over my head. Maybe I will have to read it again some other time when I can really sit and read through it and figure out what exactly he is saying.

Highly recommend ALL of Marian Keyes books. Chic lit for sure but well written and with the depth not often found in this genre of books. Laughter and tears to be experienced when reading her books! The best are the series about the Walsh daughters. 5 sisters, 5 books - be sure to read them in order though. "Anybody Out There" is the last so far in the series so don't start with this one! Enjoy!
This book was beautifully written. The imagery and growth of the characters was really interesting to read. I will say this, SO confusing at first, I had to read and re-read so many parts of this book. As a matter of fact, I think I need to re-read the whole thing again! I did enjoy it though, the toughest part was relating all the characters and their individual story lines.
