absolutely one of the 10 best books i've ever read. probably top 5 if i had to say. Challenging, complex, ironic, wonderful and heartbreaking – probably a lot like India herself.
I read it, and I liked it, but I didn't think it was amazing. I feel like I missed out on not reading this in a classroom setting though, as I'm sure there are plenty of things about this book that are worth discussing. I just can't have a very good conversation with myself haha. Maybe I'll gain some more insight when I read the section devoted to Gatsby in Reading Lolita in Tehran.
The plot of this book followed the same patterns as Angels and Demons and The DaVici code. This seemed like the latest installment of a formulaic plot line that is better suited to romance novels.
I LOVED it! Finished it in two days, would have been done quicker if I didn't have a one year old lol!
