I had to read this for a modern history class a few years ago(for obvious reasons). I loved it and it remains one of my favorites. At first I rolled my eyes at the notion of reading a comic book. I don't really like comics and can't relate to them very well. But this book was different. The contrast of mice (Jews) and cats (Nazis) as cartoons against the back drop of the Holocaust and Auschwitz is hauntingly poignant. A heartfelt and well told father-son story.
Stopped reading the Ender series with this one...I can't remember if I even finished it. However, I picked up the series again with Enders Shadow and all the "Shadow Books"
