meh. chabon's writing is lost on this Weeeeeiiiird plot. but good writing.
re-reading now. breathtaking. sincere. almost rude but poetical and very very sexy indeed.
Enjoyed Shevek, the landscapes and the story, with it's interesting compare and contest of ideologies. The pseudo-physics nonsense was a waste and the book would benefit from reducing the mumbo-jumbo.
This was great. Scary, funny, great. Can't wait for the sequel. Hopefully several sequels...
