Great book. I checked this out from the library expecting other things but I was very surprise. Such an inspiring story of perseverance in spite of object poverty. I cried at times. Knowing this was a true story made it all the more incredible. I highly recommend this.
There is a lot of setup in order to continue the story. I would have liked it more if it had ended as a story and not as a To Be Continued.
I used the screenplay to write an essay: a psychoanalytic reading of fasion in The Talented Mr. Ripley. May be the best and most enjoyable paper I've written this year. Following the different jackets (Princeton, valet, corduroy, dinner jacket) in the movie I use Freud and Lacan to decipher Tom's motives in appropriating the identity of Dickie Greenleaf.
Not my favorite Winterson book. Still has her quirky style, but the plot is too predictable.
Vonnegut's style is so unique that you must be able to appreciate the craziness. Brilliant.
One of the first fantasy novels I ever read and thoroughly enjoyed. While I'm usually easily bored with quests, I loved this one.
