LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! Amazing read and now reading the third in the series and have the Outlander season one which is awesome also.
Reading the history of what happened in France to the Jews was heartbreaking and an educational for me. I did not know that happened in history. That is about all I liked. The personal struggles of Julia were understandable but boring and redundant at times. In the beginning of the book, the author switches back and fourth between the present day Julia and Sarah the Jewish girl. The chapters that were the best to read were about Sarah. But when that ended about little more than half way through the book, it bored me.
