Terrific!
Wow. That ending was cruel...when does the next book come out? I predicted several things that would happen in this book, but I was still surprised at how the author pulled everything together. I loved the way the book was written (alternating chapters: now and then). The parallels were clear, and it helped show how much Lena had changed and grown. Also, I love the titles in this series...they are perfect. In the first book, Lena is delirious with first love, and the second book is complete pandemonium, with everything falling apart and going crazy. Delirium provided a great introduction to the world Lena lives in, but in Pandemonium, you learn so much more. It's a great sequel, and I can't wait to find out what happens next!
A real classic--the dream of any young aspiring social scientist (I still always check the fountains everywhere I go, just in case I get locked in and have to collect the change to use the vending machines for a midnight snack).
