Loved it!
My goodness this was fun! It made me think of Twilight, (no disrespect meant to Ms. Brontë), because of the supernatural elements, the dangerous romance, the page-turner quality, just the general feel of the book. BUT, Jane actually has a backbone - unlike Bella, she refuses to be the dependent female in a relationship with a powerful, controlling male, and she does something about it. Yay, Jane! (Also, this is a lot better written than Twilight, but that's not so important if you're just looking for something fun to read.) Because of all the nasty weather in this book, I'm thinking it would be ideal for a blustery November or a stormy winter, when you can read it curled up under a blanket with a hot beverage of your choice. That said, I still enjoyed it as a summer read.
