Percy Jackson is a twelve year old boy who acts like a twelve year old boy but who doesn't make you want to punch him for being an annoying little twerp. And that's after rereading this book more than once. Harry Potter has nothing on Percy Jackson. The mythology in these books is fabulous. The characters are wonderful. It's a joy to be reading this series again in preparation for The Blood of Olympus.
