Fun and fast read. Kind of reminds me of the Murder She Wrote show. I might even try the recipes.

I picked this up from my roommates shelf a while back....just needed something to read. It was good...but not enough to get me hooked into Picoult's other books. I read it, it was good, the end.

Jodi Picoult always keeps you interested. I found the ending of the book to be somewhat drawn out, but will always be a fan of Jodi Picoult.

Rory has been waiting forever to turn twelve. It feels like she'll be able to do everything she's been waiting for. Buying a cell phone, shaving her legs, wearing makeup. She's about to have everything she's ever wanted. She even has a chart of things she wants when she is twelve. Except her list happens to go horribly wrong and nothing goes as planned. I think the author gave this book good detail. It was good enough that I could create images in my mind of the story while I was reading it. I think the message in this story is to be careful for what you wish for because nothing turns out the way you want it. My favorite character is Sari because she's energetic, funny and crazy. The most important settings in this story are where the things on her list go wrong. I loved Rory and how she handles every problem she encounters in this book. An interesting part of this book was Rory's relationship with her parents. I think through out this story Rory was maturing. Some clues to that are her giving the bunny back, leaving the co-ed party. I recommend this book to pre teens and girls that love to laugh!
