This book is a great rite of passage piece. Something to be read as one embarks on an adventure. When I first read it as a 15 yearold I didn't really get as much of it as I thought I did. Rereading it on the plane as I embarked an expat year in italy for work, it put me in the right mindset to really enjoy what lay down the road.
