An excellent story about rural life during the early 1960's in the beautiful Hills of Mulmur in Dufferin County, Ontario. The story of people who try to save their little bit of heaven from developers.

My Opinion Right now, I’m in denial. I can’t believe the Gone series is over. After years of waiting months for the next book then reading it in a few days, I’ve finally reached the end. And the wait was so worth it. There isn’t quite anything like Light. What genre does it belong to? YA? Paranormal? Dystopia? Sci-fi? Fantasy? Horror? Romance? Honestly? It’s all of them. Heck, if sarcasm was a genre, it’d fit in there as well! Oh god, the plot. So mindblowingly brilliant. It builds up the tension for the epic finale, the grand battle with the Gaiaphage. Equally creepy, disturbing, and exciting, the plot certainly did not disappoint. And I don’t know why, but I’m finding it really hard to explain more on why I loved Light so much. I just… do. I think its because of the unique worldbuilding and the cast of unforgettable characters who, let’s face it, die the moment you get attached to them. Even the ones I used to hate? They find redemption, become the good guys… then they die. Yeah. There is honestly no other author like Michael Grant. His books are just simply amazing. The Rating This book definitely deserves 6 stars for the epic finale of the series, and for giving the characters- well, those who made it out alive anyway- a happy ending. They deserved it after the hell Michael Grant put them through. I’m just wondering what would’ve happened if I read the entire Gone series together- I think I’d have gone crazy once I finished it. Grant just has the ability to suck the reader in his books, so if I read them back to back, I don’t think I’d be able to say goodbye unscathed. ;) So do yourself a favor and read this series.
