Good but not great. The historical aspect of it was super interesting, but the story didn't grab me until half way through the book. I'm not super critical of books and I don't analyze them like crazy. I just want a book to grab me so much that I can't put it down. This book only fulfilled that desire half way.
Possibly my favorite redwall book. This was a continuation of the first book and gave a great story that did not follow the pattern of the first two books. New characters were introduced that added a lot to the story.
I really enjoyed this. It was a fascinating perspective on a culture I find as foreign as Kevin Roose does. He managed to portray it in what I think is a respectful and humanizing way. I look forward to reading more from Roose.
