This is, from my point of view, a very good book.I enjoyed it thoroughly and read it from start to finish with no doubt that this was going to be a book to introduce to my friends, who after i had recommended it, also enjoyed it too. This book is about a girl called Miranda whose life is particularly normal until a meteor hits the moon. Her life changed from that moment onwards. She is put into great danger as her whole world turns upside down. The summer is like winter and the brother who she looked up to needs her help. A great read, recommended for all ages.
Great read. So many ideas. Chaotic. The basic arc of the story is classic sci-fi, but the setting as a speculative future is compelling and frightening once you grasp what it means about our own time.
I love her verse...
Mark was the first book of the New Testament that I read in its entirety, and to this day I constantly discover meaning in the text. I am about a third of the way through, and have found that it is well written and provides an easily accessible mix of translation, commentary, and anecdotes. The only issue that I have with it so far is that the translation is a bit awkward for me at times--but maybe that's because I'm not used to British colloquialisms?
