It was a Pretty Cool Book, With Great Excitement!
Royalty, Loyalty and the Hood Twins Twon and Qwon had no idea the legacy that laid ahead for them, or how quickly their lives would change after their mother’s death. Christmas day 2001 brought joy and sadness to the twins’ world. They awoke that morning to pairs of Jordan tennis shoes and their mother’s overdose. The letter their mother left for them explaining her overdose let the twins know something greater was in store for them. That letter led the twins to a family reunion with their Uncle Red, a sister they didn’t know existed, and the father they haven’t seen since his incarceration when they were six. Tyler Scott aka King let his children know they were destined for greatness in the hood and gave them the plan to claim their rightful place on top. “Beastmode” by Joe Awsum is an excellent novel. It was fast paced and action packed from beginning to end. The story moved and transitioned very well, keeping me eagerly turning pages. If “Beastmode” were a movie, it would have you on the edge of your seat the entire time! “Beastmode” is a five in my library! Reviewed by: Alicia
