The plot is a bit complicated so readers can get confused but the language is great. Plus, the author has the gift of amusing his readers.
I read this book when I was around 13 years old. I realized from this book that you find God or as the book said - Buddha - within yourself. Spiritual journeys are the main theme in most of the books that I truly enjoy and this is the ultimate book to read to understand that journey. I would to add also that I had this book hand delivered to Michael Jackson when he was in Washington, DC in the mid 1980s. He did receive it. Do you know in return he sent me his autograph? I nearly fainted!!

this play written by mr. Wilson is of the best plays i ever read and i really liked it. "Fences" is about relatoinships between a family and how one nice family breaks up into a nightmare. troy maxson is the father of cory and the husband of rose, troy is a hard working father who feeds his family with less than $100 a week. His son cory is highschool student who wants to play football in college, but he thinks he is not going to make it. Each day there is argument between him and cory and rose don't like interfereing. one major point in this play is when troy tells rose that he is having a baby from another woman, troy thinks that rose don't fulfill his sexual needs so he cheats on her with this other girl. when troy confesses about the other woman the whole play changes and what happens at the end is unbelieveble.
