trite but funny
3 stars for the rest of the book and 1 extra star only because of the awesome ending (last chapter) I loved the ending a lot. Some parts of the book didn't make sense to me when I read them. I thought why do we even need this chapter (like elaborate descriptions of giant game). But everything made sense at the end. One thing that did not make sense was their age. 6 year olds are getting trained for battle?! seriously?! Some parts of the book did bore me (like Peter and Valentine part). But overall a great sci-fi. According to many lists, it is the best sci-fi. Not sure about that, but it will make a great movie. Planning to watch the movie that is getting released this year.
I wrote a paper on this book in high school but sadly don't remember that much about it. Perhaps I should add to "to read" list.
This book was crazy! It kept moving back and forth and moving so fast it just made you breathless and slightly confused yet wanting more. Very unusual and not much on the sappy romance fir sure.
A very well-written, interesting portrait of man's nature, vanity, and evil.
Every page of this book touched my heart.
