A great book about life in investment banking. Funny and it sheds light into how things are done in that field. A must read for anyone in college or MBA program looking to go into Investment Banking.
Tuck Everlasting....I really disliked this book by Natalie Babbit. This novel was a little too fictious for me. Almost everything in this story was unrealistic and dull. I don't like the characters and the setting of this story. The Tuck family, who were immortal and a girl named Winnie were the characters of this boring story. Tuck Everlasting mostly took place in the woods which was very dull. There were no parts of the story that was exciting. Winnie fell in love with one of the Tuck's simbling named Jessie which was pathetic. Winnie and Jessie met a fountain in the woods. Jessie and his family were immortal because they drinked from the fountain and never aged. Winnie wanted to be immortal like the Tuck's, but Jessie stop her from drinking the water from the fountain and kidnapped her. While Jessie kidnapped Winnie, a man in a yellow suit saw and heard about the fountain in the woods. The mysterious man followed Jessie to his house and made an offer to the Tuck family. His offer was to let Winnie free or tell everyone about the fountain and become a rich man. The mother of the Tuck family rushed into the closet to get her gun, she shot the man in the yellow suit. Winnie wanted to become immortal like the Tuck family but Jessie told her to wait until she was little older so Jessie and her can married and happily ever after. When the mother of the Tuck's shot the man, Winnie took the blame so the Tuck's won't get caught. A few years later the Tuck family left the woods to find Winnie but found her dead in a cemetery in her town. I feel this novel could of been more better. If there was at least a little bit of humor in this novel it would of been o.k. Having the family immortal in this story is which made the story dull. I like stories with action and a little humor but not romance and sad ending. This story was just too dramatic and overdoing. I believe everything in this novel was pathetic. I didn't even like the cover of the book, it was annoying. I believe nobody should read this book. This book is not worth reading, it boring, and it will never change. Whoever liked this book must be a dull and boring person.
Out of the books by Abramson that I have read so far(which is most of the books she has written), this is my favorite one! Loved it!! Please keep the books coming!
