This was my introduction to Faulkner, and I fell in love. The biggest themes are racism, prejudice, and isolation, but there are some religious/spiritual themes (Christ figure and such). Even if that doesn't sound that awesome to you, I recommend you check it out. Faulkner's style of writing is bewitching.
