I love this author - her sense of humor is so great!
2 stars - YA Paranormal Romance I am utterly disappointed with this book because I felt like I was reading Vampire Academy. I started to notice at the beginning of the book and wondered, "Why this is exactly like VA?" but I kept going because I was confident to expect something different. I was hoping it would be different. Not just different but totally different. I would be fine about it if the beginning there was something a little bit same but the whole premise? I think not. I thought I was the only one notice the similarities. Apparently, other readers, they did too. I would have given this book 1-star but since I managed to finish it and I liked the characters especially the heroine because she's snarky and funny. I enjoyed reading her. Hence, 2-star given to this book.
The Warrior's Apprentice is the start of Mile's Vorkosigan saga. Miles is the son and heir of the Vorkosigan Dynasty; only trouble is Miles is physically stunted (a failed assassination while his mother was pregnant). This quote sums up Miles Vorkosigan prefectly has the spunk of Han Solo, the charm of Bill Clinton, the command presence of Picard, and no girl friend. Depth, humour, mystery, and space ships.
I've always hoped this book had a cult following, but I fear it doesn't. It has a cult of at least two though; my friend who regarded it as the best book ever, and his friend who agreed. It is great. Impossible to describe. But about twenty six variations on the game. Very difficult to find.
