Would be four stars, but I am docking one for length, the cliffhanger ending, and for the fact that it is the first of a trilogy. The next one is to be released in 2012, and I suppose I will read it if I remember by then.
I knew that the movie had left out a few "more complicated" aspects of John Nash's life, like his illegitimate son and gay sexual experiences, and I wanted a more complete picture. Sylvia Nasar does an amazing job of explaining both the man and the math. If you're not interested in math at all you will find yourself skipping large portions of this book.
It was an interesting book, mostly on how the art world works. But I think I have just read too many books in a row defined by the .com bust, 9/11, and current recession. Or maybe just my bias against NYC stories.
