I did not find Unaccustomed Earth as interesting as Interpreter of Maladies. Perhaps I wasn't in the right frame of mind. I am fond of the writing and the realistic quality of this work of fiction. But I had trouble finishing this book. I really didn't care to finish it. I still recommend this book to any one who is a fan Jhumpa Lahiri. For I feel this book was as good as Interpreter of Maladies.
