I wasn't sure how I'd feel about a whole Hellboy graphic novel not drawn by Mike Mignola (even though he did do the writing), but once I adjusted to Fegredo's style, I barely noticed. There is nothing quite like a Hellboy comic, and I'd rather have one drawn by someone else than none at all. (I do wish Mignola would go back to doing double duty, but I also understand how much work it is.) Mignola's knowledge of mythology and folklore is unmatched, and he uses it in such interesting ways.

This book was actually really good. It is also historically accurate, which is really cool.
