Simply amazing, terrifying and thrilling. The Forest of Hands and Teeth shows a devastated world, there is the safe side and the dark side of the fence that divides life and death, safety and horror. The suspense and the actions are constant; they are always there, always waiting, always hungry. The plot is amazingly thrilling, you keep turning and turning the pages, wanting to know what will happen next, how Mary and the others will finally find an ending to everything, or IF they'll find an ending. The characters are really amazing, Carrie was able to catch the human essence in the middle of despair and extreme situations, and you can feel the pressure, the fear of the characters while they face a terrifying and uncertain world. I could feel the exhaustion caused by all the emotions, doubts, fears and loses. Reading this book was an outstanding experience.

REALLY creepy and disturbing, but SO good! We had the whole family reading it (which could be kind of disturbing in itself.)

Having just finished this, the fourth book in the series, and read the little postscript by the author at the end I can imagine feeling extremely frustrated by the wait for the fifth novel which did not come out the following year as promised. For four books I have been unable to put down the tales of the Lannisters, the Starks, and the other families of this saga and I am looking forward to the fifth. However, now that I am thoroughly bewitched by all of the characters my main concern is that Mr. Martin will not be able to bring me more tales and bring them quickly enough.
