Bukowski's a good writer. I definitely got what I look for in good poetry: a mood and a sense of being and style. Unfortunately, this collection had very few of the lines and poems that make your head stop and make you resituate yourself in the world. Not very surprising, since as it's a posthumous collection of originally unpublished work; it's not likely to be his best. And since it's Bukowski, I expect a lot. However, still very readable.
