This was a very funny book about Brian Jackson, an 18 year old off to University for his first term away from home. His desire is to become a well-educated person who has experienced a good deal of life, but he manages to go to bed drunk all term. He gets onto the University Challenge quiz show team, and the book ends with the televised taping.
