This book succeeded where The Weird Sisters failed: a great (and very funny) book about children returning to the home of their artist parents. Genuine surprises in this one. I recommend!
I am re-reading the series in anticipation of the new book. I still like this series!
I really like the characters in this series-Emma, Bennett, and so on...and Lee Nichols does a good job with the quirky characters such as Anatole and Celeste. I also like the mysteries that are uncovered as the series goes by. The only thing I don't like is that now I've read them all! If you like ghosts, danger, and romance, this trilogy is for you!
For dog lovers everywhere. And if you aren't a dog lover, this book may convert you! The story of four dogs that live at Bedlam Farm, how they came to live there, and what each dog's "job" is. Simplistic recurring questions is What is Lenore's job? Lenore is talked about last, and her job may just be the true purpose of dogs everywhere.
