Great book to read on a trip. Kept me entertained while on the plane.
The second installment in the series featuring wizard Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden is a terrific vacation read. It is fast-paced and humorous and I enjoy seeing Jim Butcher's ideas of a magical world and how it interacts with ours. Dresden works as an occasional consultant to the Chicago P.D.'s Special Investigations unit, charged with investigating supernatural crimes. This time around, werewolves, hexenwolves and lycanthropes (all different creatures) are running amok and the police come to Dresden for help. Of course his own life is in jeopardy. An honest-to-gods page-turner, full of magical lore and wry humor, with an engaging narrator.
