En iyinin en iyisi.
I am so far loving this though the translation (into British English) has some loopy moments. I haven't been so excited to get back to a book in some time.
a powerful easy read.
LOVED this one. Very interesting and, more importantly, heartbreaking. Could have used 100 or so more pages but that could also be a metaphor for the whole relationship depicted in the book. GREAT read.
Ok, maybe like 1,5. But seriously, I feel like I've read a different book from everybody else that rated it. Don't think I'll be continuing with the series.
I loved the Garfield books when I was in the early elementary school and practically learned to read from them. At the time I really never understood how Garfield and Jon communicated.. now its obviously some type of psychic projection. Since Im such a Pisces, I never liked when Garfield was mean to Odie, it made me sad. It was one of the many moments that set the stage for my bleeding heart nature. Also, the early books had Jon with some strange mustachioed room-mate or something (now, it's obviously his swinging partner). If I remember correctly, in the earlier books Jon was always "dating" some chick and of course Garfield would deliver a devastating analysis and/or maxim about the futility of the modern dating scene. Nowadays, last I saw, it's all about setting up for the last panel where Garfield says from under his blanket "I hate Mondays." Also, I was fascinated with how a cat could engorge an entire pan of lasagna IN ONE GULP. It's taken me 29 years to work up the ability to do that and I'm 6'5". Fascinating.
