Funny :)
This was a pretty good book, but I'm coming up pretty short on evidence for that claim. Wisdom is all about how the experts aren't that expert, and that the average opinion and estimation of lots of people has the best predictive ability, makes the best decisions, bakes the most delicious cake. I remember something about a big cow at a 4-H show, a big jar of gum balls, and the stock market. This was an intelligent and interesting book, but I remember now precious little of it. So sorry. So take it on faith that this is a good book. Maybe the anecdotes aren't at the same arresting level as Tipping Point, but it's still worth it.
this book is terribly witty, particularly the first half. it kept me laughing audibly on the brown line. the latter essays are a bit uneven, particularly the ones in which he explains his writing style -- don't ruin the mystery! Ander is a poet, a geek, and a prankster. He should be also writing for major magazines like Wired. He is a bridge between geekdom and art and makes me very envious.

This was not one of Tamora Pierce's best. Though I enjoyed the last two in the series (and am a big fan of the Alanna and Daine series), this book just didn't come off. Beka comes across as rather flat, the romance is predictable and unconvincing, and worst of all the plot resolution just doesn't make any sense. I finished it only for a sense of completion. Get from the library if at all.
