Finished this in the tub last night. Strangely unstisfying book. It continues the story of the Neshov family, picking up immediately where the second book ends. Strangely, the brother I liked least in the beginning turns out to be the only sensible one, sort of. The gay brother becomes unbearable. What an asshole. He totally lives in his own reality. The first half offers more insight into the characters without really giving more insight, just repetitions of characteristics we already know. I had the feeling that something had to give and kept reading just to find out what that is. Once I found out it became a bit more interesting. The end leaves a lot of things unresolved and that's really unsatisfying after three books. I know life's not a neat package, but some closure would have been nice. With this feeling of disappointment, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't recommend this series to anyone, even though I did like reading it.

Incredible world-building, multiple points of view, I'm not sure I can really describe this book. A dystopian future based in Thailand. Sort of a political thriller. Unbelievable things rendered completely believable in the context of the story. A gem of dark, speculative fiction.
