It's sad and a little messed up, but it presents a side of craziness that I had never considered.
Another Primary School literature text. Des passed me notes in class asking dirty questions about the grey men. Cassiopeia - we used to be so confused why the tortoise was named like a watch. I still remember a story about an amphitheatre that was the fishbowl for a whale.
Again I say: I didn't read this book voluntarily and I'm not the target audience. I understand Jacobs has won awards for romantic comedy, but she must be taking a break now. Not a single character was believable, the heroine's best friends were indistinguishable from one another, and the story was neither funny nor sexy. It still isn't as bad as Hunter's Moon, though.
This was an enjoyable read.
