finally we hear from Cynthia! Her account of her life with John was not watered down, just straight forward and honest. This is a must read for every Lennon fan, it shows John not as a hero or a marter, but as a person, with feelings, and passions.

I read about half of this book before I decided to throw it in the trash. You read that right--I threw it in the trash can where it belongs. I've never read so much filth in my whole life!

If you haven't yet read Ms. Shriver, you really need to! Fascinating use of language, compelling storyline, vivid characters...I have a new favorite author. This is a must-read for all avid readers and book clubs.

I always enjoy reading about SOE agents and Occupied France, but I feel that this book would have been a lot better if the author hadn't seemed to have been so determined to quibble about what RJ Minney wrote in "Carve Her Name With Pride." - I am sure for some people it's important to know whether Violette Szabo was flown out on the 6th or the 7th of July, for example, but it makes little difference to the average reader such as myself. An otherwise enjoyable read.
