This time private investigator Kinsey Millhone accepts an unusual case. She is babysitting a privileged woman just coming out of prison for embezzlement. But if you've been reading this series, you know that there will be more to it than that. In fact, in addition to an out of control female (drugs, alcohol etc), a drug lord and a money launderer are involved as well. But never fear Kinsey is on the job and even being sidelined by said female (Reba Lafferty), she allows herself to fall into serious trouble while trying to keep Reba on the straight and narrow. I never really put it together before but Kinsey does a whole lot of investigating on her own time without billing the customer (usually after the task she's hired for is completed but the case isn't solved.) It's no wonder she's hurting for money. I enjoyed this one as it was a super quick read. I love her neighbor Henry Pitts and he featured in this installment but not in the usual way. He had personal issues of his own...lady issues to be exact. That William ought to just mind his own business. Poor Henry. Anyway, this one wasn't plagued with all those extraneous details that Ms. Grafton usually puts into these books. You know when she details what in the fridge or what Kinsey's buying in the supermarket. This one was thoroughly enjoyable though I admit to wanting to smack Reba upside the head a time or two. Looking forward to the next in the series, though for me it's W and not S.
كتاب قارع باب الجنة هو عبارة عن نشر لجميع التدوينات التي كتبتها المدونة هديل الحضيف رحمها الله وكما هي طبيعة الكتابة في المدونات الشخصية فهي قصيرة في غالبها تتناول شأناً اجتماعياً أوشخصياً وتبدي رأيها حياله ، هديل رحمها الله أسلوبها مميز ، قراءة الكتاب مفيدة للمدونين الجدد ستحفزهم للكتابة في مدوناتهم وتلهمهم لأفكار تدوينية جديدة ، في نهاية الكتاب عرض لمقابلات أجريت مع هديل في عدد من المنتديات لكن طريقة عرض المقابلات سيئة جداً لأنها عبارة عن نسخ ولطق دون ترتيب أو تنسيق ، رحم الله هديل وأسكنها فسيح جناته
