Bütün bu diziyi çok beğendim. Kim bir yarasaya atlayıp yeraltı mağaralarından uçmak istemez ki?

This was one of the first m/m books I read, if I remember correctly. It's a dark book and usually I don't go in for that but I devoured this one. I don't know if I'll ever re-read it but I'm glad that i read it in the first place.

Engaging novel with a historical context that makes it all the more interesting.

I particularly remember buying this on my first trip to SF at City Lights bookstore...this is a classic. Howl and America are incredible poems, and I'm not normally into poetry. America speaks of the ludicrousness of the Cold War through humour.

100 Words in Search of Precision In the spirit of "Star Trek”, DFW boldly wanders through the darkness of the modern world, holding a candle, recording everything he witnesses in minute, almost helmet-cam detail. He isn’t just preoccupied by or satisfied with the absurdity and comic potential of the world. He wants to scrutinise it, diagnose it and cure it. Out of the minutiae comes meaning and illumination. It’s up to the reader to sift through the minutiae, to discard the mullock and the fool’s gold, and to find the gold that DFW has placed there for us to find. His works are incandescent, deeply philosophical and deeply socio-political. One of the best books I have ever read!

It was ok. It started out pretty strong but I got bored with it about halfway through. Though I have no plans to do a 100 thing challenge, I like the thought of being aware of over consumption and reducing the amount of stuff we buy or keep.
