Funny. Sexy. Modern. A Bit Sad. But hey, sometimes reality sucks. Enjoyed how the author weaved back and forth through time and character perspectives to tell this collection of connected short stories. Great introducation to the work of Jennifer Egan.
Literary merit -- three stars. Bumped up a star to four because Atwood's writing and storytelling pulled me in such that I stayed up too late reading two nights in a row and finished the thing in three days. I read Oryx and Crake, the previous book in the series a few years ago and enjoyed that one too. Looks like Atwood plans a third book, and I say bring it on. Best scene: The blue men's reaction to Ren's presence. Hilarious satire!
