This is absolutely the best knitting book I have ever read. The tutorial is outstanding, the projects range from semi-challenging to extremely challenging, and (unlike many other so-called "punk" or "new generation" knitting books out there) this one offers a wide range of patterns that one might actually wear, not just novelty items. Her advice and encouragement on knitting issues is top-notch--particularly because she advises her readers that it is they who control the yarn, not the other way around.
Picked this up from the New Book shelf at the library and it wasn't as entertaining as I expected. I've read more interesting and detailed accounts of the awards on the Internet.
Stunning. Poignant and cynical. Clever, witty, and biting. Great imagery, I practically feel like i'm there.
i got this for myself when i wanted some distraction from my normal days, and just laugh. this little book definitely provided both. cant give more than 3 starts for lack of any serious content..... but after all, that was the point. and just for fun, it's just fine.
