This book has been testing for me, even as I write this review I don’t know what rating to give it. The first half of the book I really struggled with. So much happened but with no real detail to back it up. I found it to be Jax did this then Jax did that and then this happened whereas in the earlier books the events would have been fleshed out. Then I got to the middle of the book where Vel and Jax have an adventure and it was brilliant and riveting. But then the ending of the book was written much like the first half. One thing that kept me going to the end was Vel, oh I love this character. However one character that made me annoyed and I have had enough of him is March, he has been such a disappointment. The other reason that may have contributed to my less than enthusiastic review is that this book doesn’t have lots of the old team involved such as Dina, Hit and Argus and I missed them. They do make an appearance but it is mostly about Jax and Vel. I am intrigued to see how Endgame will play out the story I can’t even see how this will end but I will be there for it. I am going to give Aftermath 3 stars.
