I've read this book several times, and it is worth re-reading. This is one of Dewey's finest books. At places, it is difficult, but it is always worth trying to make it through. The only work that might be superior is Art as Experience.

Wow... Um. Their is a lot to say about this book. Good, imaginative, witty and sick, very very sick. With all that said, not my favorite Palahniuk but its on the list of his greats for sure.

This book is hauntingly beautiful. Ruby and Rose began to feel like my own sisters by the time I got to the middle of it. I absolutely loved Lansen's writing style - she really brought me into these girls lives. The way she described the settings was so realistic and descriptive, it made me feel like I was there with them. The relationship Ruby and Rose have is incomparable to the relationships normal twins or sisters have, it's so strong and their love for one another, so patient and unconditional. As different as it is from anything I've known or experienced, some parts of their relationship reminded me of the love I have for my family & friends and made me reflect on relationships in general. I'd definitely recommend it. It quickly became one of my favorite books.
