Yes, yes...another Twilight fan. Still, to defend my cliche obsession, I must say that Bella IS one of the most lovable and quirky characters I've come across. Also, I did appreciate the absence of those annoying sub-plots in most romance novels which serve only as frustrating distractions.
More than a review this is a love letter to this book. I read it when I was a teen, years ago, and loved it. It was one of my feel good books, one of those you go to when you are feeling sad or kinda let down by the world. Through my parents divorce I lost my copy of the book, and I couldnt find another copy, no matter how hard I looked. A couple of years ago, I came across an audio book edition, and I fell in love with the story all over again. Thank you, Eva Ibbotson for this wonderful book.
