I cannot help but feel the writing of Joyce Carol Oates to the very marrow of my bones. She is, in my humble opinion, the most stunning, vivid, painful, honest, damaging writer living today. In short, I worship her. I don't really think I knew how high the bar was set until I began my exploration of her work. She deserves every literary prize there is to be given and, perhaps, a few new ones...
