Could freak you out about homebirths. I was amaized that this book was written by a man. It seemed like it had to be written by a women but "Chris" is male.
This is one of the best books I've read.
Totally formulaic and lots of fun. Great tough guy hero. He's kind of like a cross between Clint Eastwood and Philip Marlowe. And Child is actually a decent writer.
