Hodgman gibi, sadece daha az vergi (iltifat) ve daha az komik (değil). Onun duruşu kadar iyi bir yer yok.

I was expecting a lot, because I heard a lot of good things about this book and its author John Green. Unfortunately I didn't feel the same way. I couldn't get into this book. I really wanted to like the book, but I just didn't. There wasn't a lot going on and I couldn't always keep my attention while reading this novel. The footnotes where fun in the beginning, but I stopped reading them after ten chapters. I did like Greens writing style, it's fresh and original and I also liked Colin's buddy Hassan. I did eventually finish it, but I was so disappointed. Maybe I should give Greens other novels a try and I will like them more. But this one just didn't do it for me.

Read as part of the GB challenge and recommended to me by Alyosha (thanks!) 5++ stars I fell head over heels for this book! I think I have to add Ethan Day to my list of favourite authors as I really loved his writing style and the voice he gave to the two MCs (Boone and Wade). First up, this book is FUNNY! - I lost count of the amount of times I found myself laughing out loud at the stream-of-consciousness that comes out of Boone's mouth. He has to be one of my favourite characters and the best dose of therapy I had all week. I especially loved the scenes where he didn’t know Wade was famous and was inadvertently insulting the town hooker hero! Wade was such a perfect match for Boone and it was endearing to see how certain he was about them being meant for each other even after such a short time. He also really seemed to treasure Boone for all the crazy messed-up kookiness he was. I have to warn you that the book ends on a bit of a cliff hanger so you need to read the sequel (Life in Fusion) straight afterwards but that just added to the fun!
