Love conquers all but Anna, A Child of the Poor House is not a love story in the "bodice ripping" sort of way. It's the story of a young woman who, through great odds, finds family, love and friends. The story is poignant, humorous and partically true as the story is based on a true character whom the author had the pleasure of meeting a number of years ago.
A wonderful book for people who have the wanderlust gene. It's about a woman and her husband who decide to buy a summer home in Tuscany. You follow the entire ordeal and in the process learn some italian words and new recipes. It really makes you want to buy your own summer home in the hills of Tuscany!
I can't remember when did I had so much fun at reading a book, but this piece really got me by my feets. I loved the character of Harry, Ron and Ms Grainger, never the less Snipe too. Also other characters but mainly Harry for his need of attention and love, and his necessity for adventure and need to vanish Voldimor from existence. Sad he will do it next time the chance arises. Still much eager to continue with the next one, but not really sure where it might lead me, I heard is not as good as the first one was.
