I was surprised that I actually enjoyed her book.
Cassandra Clare's City of Glass is far and away the best conclusion to a trilogy I have ever read. All characters stay true to the way they have been developed throughout the series, and all plots from the earlier books are finished off. Clues about the ending from the first two books carry through to the final books, and I was pleased that I actually managed to predict something correctly, something which does NOT occur very often! The book tied up very nicely, in "a neat little package" as Homer Simpson would say. City of Glass was an amazing book, and cements Cassandra Clare's place as one of my favourite authors, maybe even my number one favourite, EVER! Can't wait for her new series in 2010, although I might be filled with longing for my favourite characters from mortal instruments every time she mentions an institute, or a vampire, or Magnus Bane.
