This is a surprisingly complex book that joins the characters' lives, and readers' lives on many levels. I was continually surprised.
Not as outrageous or compelling as its predecessor (as if that were even possible), but better in its portrayal of a person other than Frey himself or his sad-sack girlfriend. I don't care one way or another about Frey and all his issues, but I would lvoe to meet the Leonard as described in this book, though as with "A Million Little Pieces," I'm sure it was substantially fictionalized.
