Kesinlikle beklediğim değil ... dürüst olmak gerekirse oldukça falan. Bir "Güzel Çocuk" veya "Cam Kale" hissi bekliyordum ve bunun yerine tek sayfalık bir gazete makalesinde toplanabilecek bir kitap okuduğumu hissettim .... Kulağa sert geliyor, ben her şey aileleri için çalıştı sevindim, ama sadece Tamam oldu!
Gerçekten bu kitabı sevdim .... provoke düşündüm.
Büyük bir cinayet gizemi hayranı olmasam da, ilk birkaç Rizzoli & Isles kitabından keyif aldım. Sonra Isles'i kişisel olarak şüphelilere ve kurbanlara ürpertici yollarla bağlamaya başladı, ki bu biraz inanılmaz buldum. Sonra bu kitapta, Isles'in ölümle olan hayranlığı, kendi başına Mephisto Kulübü'nün evine geri dönmesine yol açar. Bunu çok aptalca buldum. Kitabı bıraktım ve asla geri almakla ilgilenmedim.
Book has been completely overhyped as a NY times bestseller. Didn't feel like Gladwell's thesis was compelling and wasn't too impressed by his writing. Book is collection of scientific/cultural studies proving the point that human intuition and snap judgments may prove to be more accurate than drawn out decision making.
A book club pick that none of us really liked in the end. It was an interesting book, well written and easy to read. However, considering this is supposedly a memoir, it was incredible depressing and disturbing. No redemption of the main character, leaving you to assume he makes it out of the hell he was in, eventually.
