I like this book because I like Anita Blake. I like the character, her honesty and wit and stubborn values (you really have to read it to understand why she is a Vampire Hunter and moral). In this book Anita's relationships get a lot more functional, with Richard, Ronnie and Asher all getting introspective. New powers, yes, but mostly new knowledge of those powers. The monsters are even more fun than before :-D.
This book was very confusing because in the end u realize that neither side has ever been right or wronng; as in sppecails -dr cable- vs.smoke. Everyone has a reason, and its just that u have to choose one which is a hard decision. This book reminded me the last book of the hunger games, and when zane died I re-felt what I had felt when primrose died. Also dr cable is a bit like...what was her name? The leader of district 13? Tally obviously like katniss and david a bit like gale... Anyways, its surprising that after this perfect -bbut yet confusing and lost- ending, there is still a forth book. Annd something that I luv about tally; she's always the same person after all the surgeries. I admire her strong character.
