I remember when they asked for contributions to do this book, Al Mohtaraf looked for photos that represent Saudi Arabia in new (or not common) way; That was to get out of the massively covered photos that include "steps on desert dunes, a flower growing out of cracked dry earth, a camel grazing, palm trees, ..." as Mr. Kameel Hawa stated in the preface. After three years to get this work complete and released, I can say that Al Mohtaraf succeeded on meeting this objective presenting this great project which represents the Kingdom and its youth, and the saudi youth and their kingdom. In the same time, I am sure that a lot of saudi photographers, great ones, are still not in this book and can be covered in other books in such projects. If my counting ability is still functioning well, this project comes in 318 photos taken by 98 Saudi photographers.
