This is an entertaining summer read. Actually I listened to this via Recorded Books. Barbara Rosenblat is very entertaining and propels the story along probably more than had I just been sitting around reading. Some of Davidson's recipes in this installment sound incredible-- just as I'm trying to cut back on the fat and empty carbs. :-< I've heard some attack on some of the characters in the book. Yes I do agree that Tom acted a bit out of character as a cop with relation to Billie. But then again, I'm surprised he never did more when the ex was alive. Also, if you know how Davidson writes, she never kills off any characters who've had staying power in the series-- again, except for the ex. Flaw or not, I think that's just Davidson's way. I'd recommend listening to this in the car if you were taking some sort of road trip-based vacation.
